Born from the 2025 fires in Los Angeles, Ashes To Films is a nonprofit fund and festival that celebrates resilience by supporting and showcasing the stories and storytellers who persevered to create against all odds.

OUR MISSION

Ashes To Films honors the artists who kept creating when the world told them to stop, and the stories that echo that same relentless spirit.

We are providing grants, resources, and mentorship to filmmakers who were affected by the fires as they create their short films.

All funded projects must be shot in Los Angeles, keeping local crews and talent working.

Ashes To Films also aims to highlight stories and storytellers who have endured disaster, illness, grief, and loss with The Ashes To Films Festival.
